ABOUT THE PTA
The Sheringdale Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is one of the many ways parents can get involved in and support our school community.
Everyone is warmly invited to become involved in the PTA. We are very lucky to have a passionate, enthusiastic group of parents and we always welcome new ideas, energy and skills.
Getting involved can range from being your child’s PTA Class Representative, running a project (from very small to large), baking cakes, doing a sponsored walk or run, helping out on working bees, selling tickets to events and much more. No contribution of time and effort is too small.
SUPPORT FUNDRAISING EVENTS
We currently run a number of fundraising events including the Christmas and Summer Fairs, Annual Quiz Night, Discos plus provide opportunities to buy Christmas Trees, Christmas Puddings, donate unwanted clothing, books and DVDS – all which contribute to our fundraising. A list of the many ways you can support our fundraising is here.
Money raised by the PTA has helped fund new playground equipment, musical instruments, iPads and the refurbishment of the classrooms.
2017-2018 has seen extensive enrichment activities, funded by the PTA; the Wandsworth Singing Project, Hall Lighting Rig, Roald Dahl Day, Black History month, Drama and Dance Workshops, Literacy Donations, Author Visits, Music Workshop Science Week, Maths Day and World Book Day.
We also believe an important role of the PTA is to bring the children, staff and children together socially. We run a number of social events for parents throughout the year and PTA Class Representatives also run social events for parents in their class so make sure you are on your class email list.
If you would like to get more involved in the PTA, talk to your class PTA representative or email firstname.lastname@example.org
