Training at Sheringdale
At Sheringdale, we have developed a training offer for schools who are interested in further enhancing their practice, particularly schools who have strong outcomes at the expected level who want to expand provision and outcomes at greater depth.

1. English Observation Morning
Dates:
- Wednesday 11th November 2026. 9am-12pm.
- Wednesday 3rd March 2027. 9am-12pm.
Cost: £90
Discover Sheringdale's approach to the teaching of English. Observe lessons in Phonics, Spelling, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension and Writing across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 to see this approach in action.
2. Aiming High in Writing- UKS2

Cost: £90
Module 1: Curriculum planning
- Sheringdale’s English approach
- Curriculum design- genre progression and long-term planning
- The Writing Unit
Module 2: Understanding the GDS standard
- What does the GDS standard look like?
- Making sense of GDS statements
- Teaching higher order literary techniques and structure
3. Consultancy
3hr bespoke sessions with an experienced HT, school improvement consultant and Ofsted inspector.
Location: at commissioning school’s request. Cost: £400
